    Available in different thicknesses, our windows are made of high-quality laminated wood including spruce, fir, larch, pine, oak or meranti, and always with continuous strips on the visible sides. Several combinations of different wood types are additionally available.
    The selection and processing of wood are done according to EN 942; multilayer laminated profiles without knots are dried to a moisture content of 13% +/-2%.

    You can choose from a wide range of colour coatings shown in both our own and RAL colour charts. To grant a long servicing life of your window, we only use environmentally friendly, water-based translucent and covering paints.

    SURFACE TREATMENT: Triple coating including basic impregnation and intermediate layer applied by dipping, and final coating applied by spraying. All our paints are acrylic-based. Shades are available as shown in our own or RAL colour chart, or based on your sample

  • Aluminium shell More

    Combine aluminium and wood, and you bring the best from both worlds together.

    To increase durability and reduce the need for maintenance, the entire structure of the window casement is protected by an aluminium shell from the outside.
    Select your preferred colour from the RAL chart. Or you might prefer a wood type-based colour. Choose between coupled of welded corners of the aluminium shell.

    ALUMINIUM PROFILES: Profiles are made of drawn aluminium and their surface is dry powder-coated. The frame corner junction is mechanically coupled using an aluminium bracket inlaid and glued together by mean of a two component metal adhesive.

    Being an extremely durable material, aluminium fully maintains its shape through the years. 100% recyclable, it complements the organic character of wooden windows and provides an environmentally friendly and cozy environment.

    Modern windows are usually equipped with hinges designed for combined opening, allowing wide opening or tilting and featuring standard blocking at the tilt position. As a standard, LEOPOLD FENSTER windows are equipped with robust, high-quality hinges supplied by ROTO; the ROTO NT hinges are silver-passivated, featuring covering caps; their carrying capacity is a max. 130kg. The hinges can be upgraded to the RC2 security level.

    Security is a prerequisite for a comfortable and relaxing stay, and actually one of the basic needs of each individual. Wooden windows may therefore raise many doubts; however, since wood offers a greater resistance to fire even in comparison with concrete, wooden windows prove to be the safest option in case of fire. Withstanding higher loads than concrete, wooden parts also provide great protection in the event of demolition.

    As standard, LEOPOLD FENSTER windows are fitted the Hoppe ATLANTA handles. These feature a SECUSTIC security system with a special security clutch integrated in its mechanism to prevent any kind of movement of the handle from the outside and thus any opening of the window by force.

    Appropriate glazing not only protects against prying eyes and sun rays, but also provides additional heat and sound insulation. As a result of modern processing technologies, safety glass not only protects from snooping, but also from unpredictable weather conditions and uninvited guests.

    During recent years, great efforts have been made to develop glass with much better thermal characteristics which today reflect in the excellent present thermal values. Currently available two- or three-layer glazing is filled with noble gases such as Argon or Krypton, plus a thin, low-emission coating for excellent thermal characteristics reaching up to 0.4W/m2K. Great improvement in thermal characteristics of glass has been achieved by using recently developed plastic spacers,

    Depending on individual desires and building construction specifics, window glass is classified in the following basic groups:
    • Heat-insulating glass signifies high-quality thermal protective glazing which greatly reduces heat loss and allows for a more rational use of energy- This type of glass is colour-neutral, highly permeable for solar and visible light and impervious to long-wave radiation
    • Sun-protective insulation glass is intended to solve challenges set by the flow of solar energy accompanied by large amounts of light during the summer months, when the glass should prevent overheating, and, at the same time, avoid too high heat losses in the winter.
    • Sound-protective insulation glass is intended to reduce noise from the environment that may disturb concentration, efficiency at work or tranquillity at sleep.
    • Safety glass is designed to assure active safety and security; this signifies the protection of health or life of people, protection against fire, burglary, missiles or damage to property. It is available as VSG laminated safety glass or ESG tempered (thermally processed) safety glass.

    As the main advantage of Leopold Fenster insulating window frame, its low heat transfer value stands out, while the window's overall mechanical properties remain the same. Compared with a conventional full wooden window frame, heat losses may decrease by 70%. As a result, the difference between the heat transfer values of the frame and the glass is heavily reduced in comparison with conventional wooden windows; this brings a much greater thermal insulation homogeneity of the window as a whole. It is precisely this homogeneity that prevents the formation of moisture on the inside with all there-related inconveniences and brings a longer service life of the product as a result. What all this contributes to is a healthier living environment which is extremely important; namely, with thermal characteristics improved and the formation of thermal bridges prevented, the risk from harmful mildew which might nestle in the furrow of the window frame, is substantially reduced.

    Furthermore, the windows that feature an insulating profile designed by Leopold Fenster are categorised as a product with minimal impact on the environment and record an excellent carbon footprint balance. Being both organic and renewable, wood requires little energy for processing. In addition, carbon dioxide is conserved for the life of the end product produced from wood, rather than released into the atmosphere when burnt. In terms of environmental care, a further major advantage is the use of rigid polyurethane foam as the insulating medium. This solution proves particularly ecological, much in contrary to the comparable market-available profiles using conventional PU foam. The RDX-040 polyurethane system on which the integrated rigid polyurethane foam is based contains a polyol component produced from canola, while older generation polyols are produced from petroleum. To make the final product as environmentally friendly as possible, water is used as the physical blowing agent instead of any air-polluting physical blowing agents.
