Silver award of the Styrian Chamber of Commerce to Marles for the FRESH innovation
At this year's 23rd award ceremony for the best innovations of Podravje, organized by the Styrian Chamber of Commerce, Marles received a silver award for the FRESH innovation – a sustainable solution designed with fully recyclable elements. This is the second award that FRESH has received this year – the concept was also recognized earlier this year with the prestigious German Design Award in the Circular Design category.
On behalf of Marles, the award was received by Tadej Gosak, Director of Marles Hiše Maribor, Tadej Medved, Head of Product Management, and Nika Bratović, Head of Marketing and Communications.
"Our guiding principle in all projects is the satisfaction of the end users, which is why we don't only focus on technical solutions but also on life within the space. FRESH was created as a response to the question of how to connect modern user needs with environmental and spatial challenges. The user is placed at the center – whether it's a young couple, a multi-generational community, or an environmentally oriented municipality," said Tadej Gosak, Director of Marles Hiše Maribor, upon receiving the silver award.
The new FRESH line, developed in collaboration with Mertelj Vrabič Architects, is a modular sustainable construction system made from 100% recyclable elements, designed for adaptability, energy efficiency, and quick execution.
FRESH represents a turning point in the design and construction of modern homes – it is a system that combines architectural thoughtfulness, environmental responsibility, and technological efficiency. The modular design allows for customization to suit different lifestyles, locations, and client preferences, while pre-fabricated construction elements ensure faster, more precise, and environmentally friendly construction.
Marles received the prestigious international German Design Award 2024 for the modular FRESH concept in the Circular Design category. The award confirms the exceptional design and sustainability of the FRESH system, which combines architectural excellence, innovation, and environmentally friendly solutions for the homes of the future. The design of the buildings also allows for adaptation to the long-term needs of users without significant construction interventions.
